Bicycling

No, this isn't me, but maybe someday...The life of a student can be very unhealthy. You’re forced to sit in chairs most of the time while at school, and you have to sit at home reading and studying while at home. Exercises and healthy eating are often the first things to go when your academic life gets busy.

Thankfully, I’ve just finished school, and I’m eager to get back into shape. My first step to getting back into shape is bicycling. I got into biking in a big way a few years ago and was in really great shape for awhile, but over the last year and a half I’ve let things slide.

Today I went biking for an hour. Since I live in a hilly area, my first decision was whether to go uphill or downhill. I figured I’d take it easy at first and determined to go downhill. It was a good ride, and I felt great for the first half hour… until I had to turn and go back uphill. Ouch!

Despite the fact that my legs feel a little shaky, my lungs feel gouged out, and I’m perspiring like there’s no tomorrow, I feel great! There’s nothing quite like biking to jumpstart an exercise program.

Now I’ve just got to keep up with it. Wish me luck.

Site launched today!

Hey everyone,

Well, it's taken some time, but KaiJansson.com is officially launched today. My site is essentially an online portfolio that will showcase my work in various areas (writing, editing, design, art, etc). Now that it's up in a format I'm happy with, I'll be adding new things on a regular basis. Check back on this blog for all updates.
